Crown Point Cabinetry is a family owned and operated business handcrafting high-quality, custom kitchen, bath, and other room cabinetry for clients across the country. Our cabinetry have been featured in Country Living, (and Country Living House of the Year, twice) Old House Journal, Kitchen and Bath Ideas, Log Home Living, Country Home, Design NJ, Cape Cod & Islands Home, This Old House, and American Bungalow. Perhaps you've seen us published in hardcover, compliments of renowned author Robbin Obimsawin.
You also may have seen our craftmanship on television, on Bob Vila's Home Again, or on HGTV.
We handcraft a variety of period styles, from Early American to Shaker, from Arts & Crafts to Victorian, using the highest quality materials and craftsmanship.
The business was started (where else?) in a garage by Norm Stowell in 1979, with two sons, Brian and Scott. They built about a kitchen a month, and quickly grew out of their cramped quarters into a family business that includes four of the seven children. Deanna handled the financial side of things, and contributed as only a mother, wife, and CFO could.
With the years came experience, growth, and responsibilites. Fortunately, with the work ethic handed down from Norm, we never lost sight of providing those three magical ingredients for the success: quality, value, and service.
Our biggest challenge arrived in the fall of 1992, when we decided to convert to a team-based workplace. Employee teams are now responsible for an incredible amount of decision-making, (and acting on those decisions) from hiring, to peer review, (job performance and raises) to production improvements.
The "changing of the guard" occurred in the late 90's, with Norm and Deanna deciding that it was time to retire. Brian, along with his wife Becky, and the other 75+ employees, now run Crown Point.
The reputation of being one of the nation's highest quality cabinetmakers is a responsibility we never take lightly.
